En una entrada reciente informamos de que China estaba tratando de reunificar a varias organizaciones palestinas y ayer Hamas anunció la firma de dicho acuerdo.
Nada menos que 14 facciones palestinas convienen en establecer un “gobierno interino” que dirigirá la Franja de Gaza después de la guerra.
Un alto dirigente de Hamas confirmó ayer que habían firmado un acuerdo con otras organizaciones palestinas, incluida Fatah.
“Hoy firmamos un acuerdo de unidad nacional y afirmamos que la unidad nacional es el camino a seguir para completar este camino. Estamos comprometidos con la unidad nacional y la esperamos”, dijo Musa Abu Marzuk, miembro de la dirección de la organización.
Anteriormente, el ministro de Asuntos Exteriores chino, Wang Yi, celebró el acuerdo alcanzado por 14 facciones palestinas para establecer un “gobierno interino de reconciliación nacional” que gobernara la Franja de Gaza después de la guerra.
Las organizaciones palestinas, incluidas Hamas y Fatah, se reunieron en Pekín esta semana en un nuevo intento de llegar a un acuerdo.
“El acontecimiento más notable es el acuerdo sobre la formación de un gobierno interino de reconciliación nacional en torno al gobierno de la Franja de Gaza de posguerra”, subrayó Wang después de firmar la “declaración de Pekín” por las diversas organizaciones en la capital china.

CIUDAD HIDALGO, México (AP) — Hundreds of migrants from around a dozen countries left from Mexico’s southern border on foot Sunday, as they attempt to make it to the U.S. border.
Some of the members of the group said they hoped to make it to the U.S. border before elections are held in November, because they fear that if Donald Trump wins, he will follow through on a promise to close the border to asylum-seekers.
“We are running the risk that permits (to cross the border) might be blocked,” said Miguel Salazar, a migrant from El Salvador. He feared that a new Trump administration might stop granting appointments to migrants through CBP One, an app used by asylum-seekers to enter the U.S. legally — by getting appointments at U.S. border posts, where they make their cases to officials.
The app only works once migrants reach Mexico City, or states in northern Mexico.
“Everyone wants to use that route” said Salazar, 37.
The group left Sunday from the southern Mexican town of Ciudad Hidalgo, which is next to a river that marks Mexico’s border with Guatemala.
Some said they had been waiting in Ciudad Hidalgo for weeks for permits to travel to towns further to the north.

Statement from The March on the DNC coalition
The March on the DNC coalition fights for the rights and liberation of oppressed people and against the exploitation of workers. Beginning on August 19th 2024, we will march on the Democratic National Convention in Chicago to bring the people's agenda to within sight and sound of the Democratic Party leadership.
We recognize the Democratic Party as a tool of billionaires and corporations.
Their actions, such as financing genocide in Palestine and war in multiple countries; continuing the mass incarceration of Black and brown people; deporting millions of immigrants; and neglecting campaign promises made to the oppressed communities who represent their voting base, show that the Democratic Party only serves the agenda of the rich and powerful. Recent gains in the rights of oppressed people have been made by grassroots organizations in spite of a lack of support and often outright opposition from Democratic Party leaders.
History has proven what Frederick Douglass once said: “power concedes nothing without a demand.”
We are calling on other grassroots organizations that are fighting for exploited and oppressed people to unite with us as we take the demands of the people to the Democratic Party in August 2024.
